Motherfolk & Model Rockets at Musica

Model Rockets create an open and warm sound as a rock band. Sonically, it sounds like they could be on an astronaut’s playlist as they journey into space (fitting for their name). The highlight of the night at Musica definitely was their cover of Katy Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl”.

Motherfolk is a high energy, indie band. With a raw and melodic sound, they definitely make the most of their set and physically covering all aspects of the stage. They have quite a few songs that have sing-along sections, which makes it easy for the crowd to engage with.
