Biitchseat almost gives you that “kicking it on the beach with my friends, getting my feet sandy, and building sand castles” vibes. With a bassist doing double duties as a vocalist, solid drummer and guitarist, they create a formidable power-pop sound.
Cave People keeps it simple with their catchy chord progressions, soothing rhythm, and short-but-sweet songs. They manage to create this cool vibe with a post-punk sound like a walk in the park.
When I heard Petal‘s lead singer beautifully cite “never call it a comeback”, my first reaction was that they have a great mindset. I also heard some great atmospheric moments and guitar riffs from the pop-rock band during their set at Mahall’s. Look out for Petal as they are on their first, headlining tour across the country.
